SLA batteries have a low self-discharge rate, around 40% per year or 3.3% per month, and can be stored without charging for up to 5-6 months when at full capacity, but it is recommended to top charge them at least every 2-3 months to prolong their shelf life. Best practices include storing the batteries in a cool, dry place (optimally 75 degrees Fahrenheit / 23 degrees Celsius or less) and storing them in a fully charged state.

The maximum number that can be connected in parallel is 4, and there are no limitations in series.
